Peanut Butter Pie

I can’t remember a single holiday with my family when this peanut butter pie wasn’t on the table. The recipe comes from my aunt’s kitchen, and we literally fight over the leftovers every year.

It’s rich, creamy, loaded with peanut butter, and ridiculously easy to make. If you’re a Reese’s lover, this one is for you.

Ingredients

  • 1 Oreo pie crust (it MUST be Oreo—not a regular chocolate crust!)

  • 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 tablespoon butter, softened

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 pint heavy whipping cream

  • Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, for topping

You’ll also need: An electric mixer

Instructions

  1. Whip the cream. Pour the heavy whipping cream into a mixing bowl and beat with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form. Set aside.

  2. Make the peanut butter filling. In a separate large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, peanut butter, sugar, butter, and vanilla. Mix until smooth and completely combined.

  3. Add the whipped cream. Gradually spoon the whipped cream into the peanut butter mixture, gently mixing until everything is well blended and the filling is light and creamy.

  4. Fill the crust. Spoon the peanut butter filling into the Oreo pie crust and spread it evenly.

  5. Chill. Place the pie in the refrigerator and chill until the filling is cold and firm enough to slice.

  6. Add the Reese’s. Once the pie has set, top it with Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. You can use whole cups, halves, or chop them up and scatter them all over the top.

  7. Keep refrigerated until you’re ready to serve. Slice and enjoy!

Ali’s Note

Do not count on having leftovers. And if you do have leftovers, I highly recommend hiding a slice in the back of the refrigerator before everyone realizes what happened.
